Moulana completed a number of Juz under Moulana Abdul Hamid when Moulana Abdul Hamid Is’haq left Germiston to establish Darul Uloom Azaadville. While completing high school, Moulana Haroon commenced Hifz Classes at Madressah Quwwatul Islam in Germiston under the Honorable Moulana Abdul Hamid Is’haq (DB). Maulana attended Madressah at Madressah Quwwatul Islam Germiston.

Maulana attended primary school at the Singh Indian Primary School in Germiston and later attended William Hills High school in Actonville (Benoni). Moulana Haroon Laher was born on 29th Rajab 1386 corresponding with 13th November 1966 in Germiston South Africa.
